Who is Tre K?
Kenny Battle, better known as Tre K, is a 31-year-old rapper from South Orange, New Jersey, who was born on October 14, 1991. He is best known for making rage and drill rap music, but is versatile and can also make boom bap and melodic music.
Tre K developed his interest in music for the first time when about two years ago, he went with his friend to the studio and decided to try rapping just for the fun of it. After his friend’s session was over, Tre K thought his voice sounded pretty good, so they decided to go back to the studio again a week later. He started going to the studio more often and says, “I haven’t looked back, it is pretty much an addiction.” Tre K then began recording songs and started taking music more seriously after seeing the potential in himself.
A couple of artists helped inspire Tre K in different areas of music. He likes to listen to Lil Uzi for his sound, Young Thug for the soul, Drake for emotions, Jay Z for business, and Lil Wayne for bars. All these artists really influenced him in making his own music and Tre K really looks up to them in hopes of becoming as big as them one day.
Other than making music, Tre K is an athlete and loves to play basketball. He also coaches and has previously coached some primer players in the country like Dariq Whitehead who is a college basketball player for the Duke Blue Devils of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Tre K is also a huge fan of the video game, God of War, and likes to play it in his free time.
In about five years, Tre K hopes to see himself as a very successful person accomplishing all of his goals and dreams. He wishes to start his own business ventures underneath a major label platform some time in the near future.
This is definitely an artist to watch and as he continues to make a path and name for himself, we can all say that we were here early!
