Who is Lil Edzz?
Jordan Edwards, or better known as Lil Edzz, is a 21-year-old rapper from the United Kingdom who was born on March 16, 2001 in Wales. Recognized by his distinct melodic flows and bright colored hair, Lil Edzz burst into the scene in 2019 quickly gaining thousands of followers on social media. He is best known for his single “Deadpool” featuring a 26 year old New Jersey rapper, Skinnyfromthe9. Lil Edzz impressed many big name rappers with his social media, which is currently being followed by artists such as Fetty Wap. It is being speculated that they will drop a single together in the near future.
Lil Edzz began making music following a heartbreak. The 21-year-old rapper says that he sticks to this style to help others struggling with various mental health issues. Lil Edzz also tackles drug abuse and alcoholism in his music, stating, “I do it for all the ones like me, all the ones who turned to alcohol and drugs to be free.” Since he has a history of drug abuse and alcoholism, his main goal is to make music to help others in that situation.
Lil Edzz identified Juice WRLD and XXXTentacion as his inspiration for his style of music. However, Machine Gun Kelly was the reason he pursued a career in rap. Despite the controversy, Lil Edzz still supports the New York rapper, 6ix9ine, and claims that his image is highly based on him.
Lil Edzz is passionate about reptiles, and continues to pursue that passion. Despite stating that all he wants to do is create heartfelt music to help others, when asked where he saw himself in five years time, the rapper said that he hopes to be the most successful artist in the world one day, but if that wasn’t to happen he would still continue to work in an aim to tackle the issues stated previously.
This is definitely an artist to watch and as he continues to make a path and name for himself, we can all say that we were here early!
