Who is GEVO?
Edward Oviero, better known as GEVO, is an upcoming artist from British Columbia, Canada. GEVO is a very versatile artist who makes dance hall, hip-hop, and afro music, but is best known for his drill and melodic songs.
GEVO started making music because he had a strong passion for it from a very young age. Growing up, his friend's brother would always freestyle around him and his friends. That’s what made GEVO develop his interest in rap. Later on, his friend’s brother got locked up and they all began to make diss tracks on kids they didn't like in school. Once he got out, he started teaching GEVO and his friends how to battle rap. After some time, he got invited to his first studio session which he really enjoyed. Ever since then, he has been making music because he finds it entertaining and it is a passion of his. Music is also a way for GEVO to express himself. He uses music as an outlet to explain his thoughts and feelings.
Artists that inspired GEVO to start making music are artists such as Lil Tecca, Gunna, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Durk, Nav, Drake, and Key Glock. These artists really influenced him to start making music of his own. GEVO really looks up to these artists and hopes to be as big as them one day!
Other than making music, GEVO likes to hang out and spend time with his friends and family during his free time, and loves to play sports like basketball and hockey. GEVO is also a huge car fan and enjoys going on drives in his car.
In about five years, GEVO hopes to see himself as a very successful person accomplishing his goals and dreams. He sees himself as a very well-known artist and wishes to have a successful business of his own one day.
This is definitely an artist to watch and as he continues to make a path and name for himself, we can all say that we were here early.
