Who is Chris Meraki?
Christopher Register, better known as Chris Meraki, is an upcoming 27-year-old artist from Woodbridge, Virginia. He is best known for making a blend of trap, R&B, and boom bap music. Chris Meraki is multi-talented and produces his beats, engineers his projects, and records his songs all in his home studio by himself. Since he manages everything independently, he gets more freedom which prevents him from being tied down by type beats. This makes his music unique and gives him a creative advantage.
In Chris Meraki’s childhood, he always felt as if he was misunderstood. He comes from a military family which caused him to move to new places every so often as a kid. From this, Chris Meraki learned how to adapt to change and new environments. However, music was the one thing that didn’t move or change for him and he could make it no matter where he was.
Chris Meraki started making music because he always had a strong passion for it growing up. The main thing he likes about it is how he can say whatever he wants and be able to spread messages and important meanings through it. To Chris Meraki, being an artist means that you don’t have to seek approval from anyone and that you are free to express your own personal thoughts and feelings the way you want.
Artists that inspired Chris Meraki to start making music include Ludacris, Missy Elliott, OutKast, Busta Rhymes, and Usher. These were all artists that he heavily listened to growing up. As of currently, the artists that Chris Meraki looks up to are Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Mac Miller, DaBaby, and Daniel Caesar. He wishes to be just as successful as them one day.
Other than making music though, Chris Meraki is also into culinary arts and actually graduated from a culinary school not too long ago. He currently works in the food industry as a side hustle after music.
In about five years, Chris Meraki sees himself as a very successful artist living well off of his music. He hopes to see himself building his very own brand within music and having fans all over the world. Not only that, but Chris Meraki also wishes to get into acting some time in the near future.
This is definitely an artist to watch and as he continues to make a path and name for himself, we can all say that we were here early!
