Interview with Jr Da Artist!
Addam: “Good afternoon, Jr Da Artist! How are you doing?”
Jr: “I’m doing good.”
Addam: “Alright, so tell us about yourself, what you do, and your goals in the future.”
Jr: “My name is Jr Da Artist, and the reason for that is because I’m a junior. You could say I paint pictures with my music. My goal as an artist is to be heard by the world and for them to feel where I’m coming from when they hear me express my pain, struggle and outlook.”
“I can’t see or live without music because my life is a whole movie. When I record my projects or records, I always live it out before I put it on wax. My main subjects be pertaining to mostly pain and struggle, and my trials and tribulations.”
Addam: “That’s really cool! Was there anyone who influenced you into becoming an artist? If so, who?”
Jr: “My biggest influences growing up in the rap game were Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle and Kevin Gates.”
Addam: “That’s a nice list. Do you have any advice for small artists, or those planning on coming into the industry?”
Jr: “My best advice to whoever that wants to achieve their goals and dreams is to never give up until you reach it or achieve whatever you desire. You must always stay consistent and dedicated.”
Addam: “I agree with you completely. What would you say some are advantages and disadvantages that you’ve faced as an artist?”
Jr: “A big advantage is probably working with me as I do a lot of collaborations and have gained other artists a lot of fans, and same with myself as they mess with my verse on a record. I just need to get better at promotion as that’s one of the most important things and something I’m struggling with a bit. I would say that’s my disadvantage.”
Addam: “Is there anything else that you would like to mention before we close off?”
Jr: “I just want you to know that I have turned down a lot of major opportunities in the past for personal reasons do to me seeing better for myself in a better situation, and that’s how I think it should be done too. My relationship with money is good enough to know that it’s not everything… happiness is. I have all types of major plans for my career but I just enjoy the process of my journey as a music artist.”
Jr Da Artist is definitely an artist to watch and as he continues to make a path and name for himself, we can all say that we were here early!
